Josh is a Tennessee real estate expert with hands-on experience. He purchased his first homes in the Germantown and Hope Gardens neighborhoods in the early 2000s, has been a licensed Tennessee REALTOR® since 2006, and has been an investor and landlord for many years. From facilitating the sale of multi-million dollar residential and commercial properties, to new construction residential condos and homes, short sales and foreclosures, development projects, and purchasing and selling contracts, Josh has an incredible amount of varied experience with real estate transactions in Tennessee. His "tool bag" is deep and wide.
After earning a BBA from Harding University, Josh climbed the corporate ladder for big, high-tech and financial services companies for a decade, managing multi-million dollar portfolios, hiring and developing teams of employees, and honing new products. After a significant amount of success and frequent flier miles earned, Josh was ready to spend more time at his home base in Nashville. He left the corporate world to actively increase his property portfolio in Nashville and act as a volunteer in youth programs.
As a volunteer at the Martha O'Bryan Center in East Nashville, Josh connected with students who were learning English. This led to a graduate degree in education and ten years of service as a Metro Nashville Public School teacher, while also acting as a Real Estate Agent and real estate investor. During this time Josh was honored as a Blue-Ribbon award winning teacher for student relationships. In 2017, Josh shifted his full- time work with MNPS to that of a volunteer, in order to more deeply focus on real estate services. MNPS remains an important part of his life, volunteering to teach literacy in personal finance and home ownership to high school students.
Josh is a fierce champion of people and loves helping people succeed. He believes the Real Estate process should serve the needs of the client and partners with Jesse to make that happen. He knows when to use creativity to get things done, even if a title company "has never seen a deal structured like this before" (ask him about that one it closed perfectly for the client and on time!)
Josh currently lives in Green Hills with his wife, two children, and a spoiled dog.
